LOST LOVERS

(Art Kay Sage) – (Poem Jay Simpson)

Lost Lovers
Entangled moments superficial wounds character development cloudy skies
solace in sunshine magnificent vistas trial by jury inexplicable suffering

lost in wonderings hopeful conclusions spatial contractions’ life’s bloodline
mortal beings’ poetic rebellion replace the metaphor gather belongings

isolated travelers’ melancholic folk songs pleasure receptors fall on deaf ears
walk to the city find the elixir travel through night’s sea of black

rivers and forests lean into mourning follow paths of no return
lost civilizations mine the headspace explicit drawings recline in hallways

exploding thunder signals end time prophets reveal future’s plan
the nightingale rests her lonely song follows the enchantment the moment’s loss
